Supernova is a first-of-its-kind global co-ed pop group, built through a groundbreaking artist-development system that blends Western performance training, K-pop discipline, and immersive online education. While most music groups are assembled behind closed doors, Supernova was created in full view of the world, through a transparent, months-long ASCAN training program designed to discover raw, international talent and develop them into world-class performers.
From day one, Supernova has been rooted in a single belief,
extraordinary stars can be born anywhere.
Founded by Jaeigh Gallagher Records, LLC (JGR), a disabled, nonbinary, Black-owned label challenging the status quo of the music industry, Supernova aims to redefine what modern pop can look like, sound like, and stand for. JGR’s mission is simple but revolutionary, to build a pop group that reflects the real world, not a narrow version of it.
Across continents, languages, and backgrounds, thousands of aspiring singers, dancers, and performers have auditioned to join what fans now call Novaville, the growing global community orbiting the Supernova universe.
A Name With a Meaning
A supernova is a cosmic explosion, the brightest moment in a star’s life, a burst of energy powerful enough to be seen across galaxies.
Each member of Supernova represents a different “stellar force,” unique identities, cultures, and artistic strengths. Alone, they shine. Together, they ignite.
The name symbolizes:
- limitless potential,
- global unity,
- unfiltered creativity,
- the explosive moment where talent becomes legacy,
Much like the cosmic phenomenon, Supernova’s members were chosen for their individuality and transformed through training into a group far greater than the sum of its parts.
A Global Dream
Supernova began with 200 auditionees across the world.
Performers from the U.S., Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa stepped forward, some trained, some self-taught, all united by a desire to shine.
Through vocal evaluations, dance showcases, storytelling submissions, and media challenges, the pool narrowed to 60 ASCANs (Astronaut Candidates), the trainees who would enter the four-month online training program.
ASCANs learn:
- vocal technique,
- dance foundations,
- performance storytelling,
- media and camera training,
- language and cultural awareness,
- idol professionalism,
- branding and artistry,
- teamwork and leadership,
The final in-person training phase will take place in Pennsylvania, where chemistry testing, final evaluations, and group formation occur.
Supernova is the first co-ed global group formed through a hybrid online and offline academy designed for accessibility, affordability, transparency, and innovation.
A Vision Seen Around the World
As trainees advance, fans follow their journey through the upcoming docuseries,
Planet Supernova: The Academy,
a cinematic, immersive look at how global pop stars are born in real time.
From the early Zoom sessions to the final in-person showcase, viewers will witness:
- the evolution of the trainees,
- the emotional highs and lows,
- the creative challenges,
- the behind-the-scenes chaos,
- the moment the final five members are chosen,
Supernova is not just a group, it is a story unfolding live.
A New Standard for Representation
Unlike traditional idol systems, Supernova was built with intentional diversity:
- co-ed representation,
- Black, brown, Asian, and mixed-race artists,
- LGBTQ+ inclusion,
- disabled leadership at the helm,
- global accessibility,
Supernova proves that pop stardom isn’t limited to one “look,” one country, or one formula.
It’s a universe, and everyone deserves the chance to shine.
The Future
When the final five members debut under Supernova, they will represent something completely new,
a cosmic collective of global talent, trained through innovation, powered by a deeply invested fanbase, and guided by an independent label rewriting industry rules.
Their debut music, concept films, choreography, content, and world-building will all expand the evolving Supernova universe.
And for the fans of Novaville, this is only the beginning of a long, stellar journey.
